First of all sorry if this is in the wrong section.

Secondly, I just got SC2 Heart of the swarm today. I proceeded to install it on my 120gb SSD and it now has approximately 8gbs left. I also have Crysis3, BF3 installed on it, and a crap load of apps that I need to load fast. I'm really trying to put off buying another SSD mainly because I don't have 200+ to spend on a 240+gigabyte.

My questions are:

1. For origin, can you set two installation folders. Say I want to do the unthinkable and install bf3 on my terabyte hard drive and have crysis 3 on the SSD.

2. Is there anything else that I can disable to gain more space? I've already disabled sleep mode powercfg.exe/h off, gained about 12 gigs.

3. Would it make more sense to get another Intel 520 120gb SSD and raid it? Or just get a different model and use them as two separate drives?

Thanks in advance.

1. I don't think you can install games on different folders. You can only change the folder where you install Origin and the folder where all your games are located.

2. Don't know, what I did to get more space was to inspect every folder on my SSD and removing stuff I didn't need (or that I could install on my hard drive).

3. If I was you I would just buy another one with more capacity (like a 240 GB) and sell the current one. I think it's more convinient to have 1 240 GB SSD than 2 120 GB.

1. Yes you can, you can switch the installation folder by going to "Origin" in the top left, "Application Settings" and then change the default installation location. As long as you install the games you want on your SSD first and then change the installation setting to your TB harddrive, it should all work out(it works for me at least).

2. Check your system's Pagefile. You can find the Pagefile by going to "Start", right click on "Computer" and choose "Properties", then on the left column go to "Advanced System Settings", it should default to the "Advance" tab on the new window that popped up, under "Performance" click on "Settings", go to the "Advance" tab and you will see "Virtual Memory". Virtual Memory is also called the "Pagefile" in Windows and is used for various different things for Windows programs and whatnot. Usually if you have more than 4GB of RAM, you don't need a Pagefile, but some games have been known to use the Pagefile. Windows defaults the Pagefile to take whatever it wants(storage wise), I usually set a "Custom Size" and make the "Initial" and "Max" 4096MB. You can also offload the Pagefile to a separate drive, so you can remove the Pagefile entirely from your SSD and move it to your TB or other drive.

Here is a good article detailing what the Pagefile does: http://lifehacker.com/5426041/understanding-the-windows-pagefile-and-why-you-shouldnt-disable-it

3. I would personally just stick with one drive. Save up for a 240GB/256GB and just offload the games you don't play most to your TB and see how much the Pagefile is taking up, should be a hefty amount if you've been using your computer for a while.
