USB powered up, while computer offline ERP enabled

Hi guys,

I purchased a asus sabertooth z87 to go along with my new 4770k cpu for a new spec. Ive been having issues that my mouse and headset is still powered up, after I have shut down my computer. My mouse is plugged in USB 2.0 and my headset in 3.0. I googled the issue and found out that I should enable ERP to get rid of that feature. However, it did not seem to do anything in regards to my headset, it is still powered on after my computer has shut down and it annoys me greatly.

Can anyone help me with this

Thanks :)

Check your bios settings. Some MoBo's still "charge" peripherals connected it by default. This was implemented recently as more and more people use their desktops to charge mobile phones or tablets due to the fact that it prolongs battery life.

The pro-longed battery life is because the voltage is more regulated in a PC rather than a wall wart. :D

The only things on the driver CD was:

Norton Internet Security Solution (didnt install)

Intel Chipset driver (installed)

Realtek Audio Driver (installed)

Intel LAN driver (installed)

Management Engine Interface (didnt install)

Intel USB 3.0 Driver (installed)

Asmedia SATA  Controller Driver (installed)
Intel Rapid Storage Technology Driver (installed)
APRP Utility (didnt install)

After i enabled ERP its only my headset which is plugged into 3.0, but can that really be the intel usb 3.0 driver? sounds weird to me if that would be the case. My friend had a similar issue with his Sabertooth z77 and he said it stopped automaticly for him after a while, which I dont understand :S
