32GB should be enough for timelapse photography, since it generally is just alot of photo's taken over a long time period, but if you decide to do this by fast playing a clip then you will need quite a bit more of space yeah, I would see first if you are able to send data from your phone over USB to your pc directly before going through the trouble of setting things up while you aren't sure if it's possible.

But like my first post, I would suggest looking into a timelapse app in the google play store, since that would allow for a better experience later on.

Is there any easy way that I can make a timelapse of the screensaver of my computer with video capturing, or a way to live feed it to a folder from my phone to the computer that is "sleeped".

Any Specs you Might need:

  • Phone: Samsung Galaxy S7
  • O.S.: Windows 10
  • Preferred way to connect: USB

Thanks!

you could record with the camera and then use software to speed up the recording or look for an app that allows for time lapse photography on your phone.

but to my knowledge it's not possible to feed a computer system data while it's screen saver is running.

One question tho, why?

May the light have your back and your ISO low.

I should find one with more customizability than the camera app one. (FPS while recording and FPS during playback

It does depend on the file size of each frame captured and the number of frames that will be required for the time lapse.  If each frame was a JPEG file that's 1MB it can roughly hold 32000 frames which is enough for a 21.3min long video at 25fps, but if it was RAW that's 10MB in size it can roughly hold 3200 enough for a 2.13 min long video at 25fps.  The file size of a JPEG with even my iPhone 5s, original JPEG, is roughly 1.5-2.5MB on average.

My phone uses 4gb for a 15fps (60fps playback) 30 minute video

I know, but most flagship phones don't sport fancy camera stuff, so I thought to leave that out of the equation.
