unRAID alternative?

Hello guys, I have using the trial unRAID and so far is just awesome however I cannot afford one right now so I'd have to go for another NAS OS. What OS do you suggest to me closly to unRAID untill I a license? I'd like something that at least supports SMB, VM, and if possible dockers. I have taken a look at FreeNAS, however FreeNAS 9 looks a bit weird and FreeNAS 10 has many cool functions however it's in BETA and I have found many bugs by myself, I wouldn't go 24/7 with that.

 

I have tried Free4NAS and it's just too hard with bad GUI.

 

Anything I can try?

centos + snapraid + unionfs does the exact smae thing.

 

You have no webui, but ssh is fast and works fell.

 

EDIT

 

You can use kvm/libvirt for vms, if you want a gui for vms, you can use virtual machine manager or your computer.

 

LXC containers and docker are also available.

It makes me feel sad that I have to configure everything manually

go with XenServer or ESXi

 

both are free, enterprise-grade bare metal hypervisors. for file sharing just spin up a vm inside of them to share files...
