Hi, I need to replace my aging q6600. I know I can build a good cost/performance machine for less then $1500 but since this will most likely be my last gaming computer I wanted to go all out for the first and last time. I do NOT want to get a water cooled system, since this will most likely be given to a family member years down the road and, as such want very high build quality/great warranty parts if possible.  All parts will be purchased from NCIX in Canada.

I also want to get parts from mainly intel, amd(gpu only), corsair and asus, as thanks for them sponsoring Dota 2 tournaments (and they build good parts anyway). I'm planning on getting a 290x, and have heard the Asus variant is the best for cooling. I do not think I'll be cross-firing in the future. I also want to include an APU unit (~15-30 mins), extra fans (led if the performance doesn't suffer), a fan controller, sound card(not sure if needed with the new amd feature), a speaker system, 32+gig usb stick, thermal paste and windows 7 professional. I also want to add a second IPS monitor, however I'll probably buy the same PA246Q Asus monitor (unless there is a newer variant available) I have since it has performed very well since I purchased it, for a total of 2 monitors running.

I mainly play Dota 2, Rome Total war 2 (but want to play on highest settings), Xcom:EU, and mainly want this to be able to run star citizen when it comes out. I'm not really too worried about the cost, I have been working crazy overtime so I can splurge on this and I am willing to go over $3,000 total if necessary. Thanks in advance!

What parts, it will be a custom build, and ya I hit cntrl v but nothing showed up, after I posted I saw the 50 pastes appear :S

Your post is a bit confusing--please post less about restrictions and instead:

1. What parts/peripherals you already have

2. Whether or not you need a copy of Windows

3. What parts you need

I don't get what a 32GB usb stick has to do with gaming?

Why Windows 7 PRo?
