The cooler from the Strix giving you a bit more performance, better temps and lower noise. MSI gaming is same story. Both are good options. If sound is an big factor go with the MSI Gaming, is more silent then the Strix.

The OC card is a waste of money in my opinion.  I have a non oc Strix 1070 and it boosted faster out of the box (1875) then the rated 1830 of the OC card, and if I manually overclock it i hit 2114mhz.  Pascal has shown to be all about the silicon lottery, so there's no real reason to buy one brand or model over another (except the fe) since there's no correlation with performance this generation.

That price is mainly for the looks (rgb etc), it performs little bit better than others but you don't need to buy it just for performance.

The non OC strix is actually one of the better priced 1070's out there.

OP, make sure to use jet.com with promocode shop10, and decline free returns to get ~$45 off.

This may be true, but in my opinion the difference would be purely acedemic since I have never heard my strix 1070 except the one time i manually set it to 100% to see if it would give me 2150mhz. The strix runs cooler, 63C max, and the fans don't even turn on until 55C or 60.
