Optimized for gaming

Go to solution Solved by Herman Mcpootis,

i would recommend you get the 6600k, but get a cheaper mobo like the z170-e and use the money to get a 6gb gtx 1060 instead.

So I am going to upgrade my system and just need some opinions on which way I should go for gaming all of today's titles to the next gen ones in 2017 and perhaps 2018.

i5 6500 with  asus pro gaming mobo and gigabyte geforce gtx 1060 6gb graphics card

or

i5 6600k with asus z170a mobo and EVGA SSC geforce gtx 1060 3gb graphics card

Thank you.

1080p so nothing crazy just HD with pretty much max settings and high frame rate.

6600k. either is fine, really.

Personal build >  New-ish AMD main gaming setup
