i have 2 ssd in a raid 0 and have been trying to figure out what was wrong with my computer it is taking almost 7 minutes to boot and is having terrible access times of sometimes over a second i tried updating firmware of the drives (which helped with the access times but not the boot), unplugged unnecessary drives out of the system, and then proceeded to start uninstalling programs until i uninstalled powerDVD 16 and now my system will not boot at all i am in the middle of creating a usb widows 10 to try but what else could be the culprit i am running out of ideas of what to try all the SMART setting are good and the drives are healthy. i have not got any bad secretes when i tested for them i do not know what else to try.

Backup all data off the array. Wipe the drives. Make a new array and reinstall the operating system.

i backed up before trying to fix the problem so im good there

and i am working on creating the new copy of windows ten and will recreate the array but what if that does not work

How many times did you boot. Was it just the first boot that went slowly? Lets rule out that Windows was applying some sort of update.

Did you ever get a performance advantage with RAID 0 on SSD? I got good benchmarks with mine but i didn't notice any usable improvement in any applications so I use my drives normally.

more than i could count (at least 20). it was not updates that i am sure

i had have had these drives for about a year and have always run them in raid, so i do not know what it would be like without it in raid. this is also my first custom pc I had wanted to build one for a long time but was not able to. i use large programs for editing (avid) and also use it for saving games so i like it

all i can think of is one of your drives dropped out of raid and got marked as a failed drive. I dont know what RAID hardware/software you are using but it should be possible to reverse the bad drive flag. that could happen for any reason and does not mean anything wrong with the drive. I had that happen after three months of using WD blue in RAID10. I think it was power saving/sleep functions in the drives firmware that was causing them to drop. I only use drives designed for RAID in RAID, and I dont use RAID0 for OS. its just not worth the problems.
