Trying to write the ubuntu server ISO to an SD card to install it on my raspberry pi, but I get this error whenever I try to do so with Rufus 2.11. Tried with Win32 Disk Imager, Get this error: Error 1117: The request could not be performed because of an I/O device error. Any ideas?

Just a guy who peaked at building back in the days of the GTX 980. If you see me here, assume i have technical knowledge akin to a committed hobbyist builder back then. If something's changed, you'll need to tell me(nicely plz). I'm probably asking for help with the modern build scene since I have no clue what's going on.

Stupid question, but assuming you're using a full-size SD card for an older Pi, you don't happen to have them write-protected, do you? Do you have a different card reader you could try? Also, make sure you're running Rufus and Win32 Disk Imager as administrator.

Haha sorry, using MicroSD. Raspberrry Pi 2b. No different card reader. And yes, both programs were running as administrator.
