Overclocking

I have been trying to overclock my cpu but it will not let me exceed tge clock speed of 102.25mhz x 28mhz or else my system freezes. Any help?

MB: asus pro gaming z170i

cpu:Pentium g3900

ram: 16gb ddr4 2400mhz

Other people will ask for your voltages. People will also want to know about your temps. Moar info, moar help. (from others)

 

Because I would just say: don't try OC-ing on intel, go AMD!

I wouldnt want to overclock AMD unless you want to make a metal melting furnace. I hear the temps got so high once the singularity of the object imploded on itslef creating a black hole.

My AM8 5600k APU stock speeds are @ 3.6 ghz. Turbo = 3.9 ghz. I get a stable OC to 4.5 ghz. Will do some mild tweaking, and I think I can get a stable 4.7 ghz. Not bad considering stock speeds are only @ 3.6 ghz.

What cpu would you recommend for overclocking? Lga1151

btw my temps were under 40 degrees c
