Hello everyone, I just wanted to ask for some PC related help. For my build, I am currently using integrated graphics, and I want to purchase a video card. I need to know if it will bottleneck, and if the performance upgrade will be good enough for some modern-ish games.

The card I want to get: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01JS2UFO6/?tag=xtremegaminer-20

My specs:

Processor: AMD A10-7870K Radeon R7, 12 Compute Cores 4C+8G  3.90 GHz

Installed Memory (RAM): 8.00 Gigabytes (6.96 Usable)

System Type: 64-Bit Operating System, x64 Based Processor

Don't worry about bottlenecks. Even if you have a 6950x, two titanXPs, and 128gb of ram, there will always be a bottleneck somewhere. It all really depeneds on applications. If you are running a very CPU intensive program, you would benifit from a better CPU, but if you are running a very GPU intensive program, you probably wont notice the difference. Basically, don't worry about. The RX 470 is a great card, and it should serve you well for just about any application. Im assuming this is an OEM system given the way that you displayed your specs, so do double check that your PSU will work with this. If your PSU doenst have any PCIe power conneoctors you will either have to get a gtx 1050ti (cheaper, but slightly worse GPU) or a better powersupply.

Its possible that it could bottleneck.
I currently have an A8-7650k with an RX480 and it bottlenecks quite alot, especially on games like GTA

it's funny what people don't realise is that RX 470/480 are GTX 970/980 or R9 390/390X type performance GPU's...and i've seen those APU hold back even GTX 760 in many games...those APU are way slow, and will hold back even an RX 460.

Mhmm, they're kinda terrible haha. From my experience, the APU's arent as good as alot of reviewers have made them out to be.

You guys have been a big help, but since you say my APU isn't ideal, what is your recommended upgrade?

That's about as much data as you need to determine just how much the A10-7870K bottlenecks. It's the GTX 980/R9 290X, but the RX 470 is about the same performance as a GTX 970 which is about 10% worse than the GTX 980.
