Hi!

I am planning on purchasing a gtx 1060, and with black friday a month away, I thought about waiting another month for substantial discounts. So I wanted to ask if you remember from past experiences, is there usually a big discount on graphics cards (especially new ones), or should I just buy it now cause it won't be worth it. (Although I lose nothing from waiting, I want to buy it asap.) Also, I should point out that I'm planning on buying the card from Amazon, as prices of graphics cards in my country are atrocious.

There can be. Last year I don't specifically recall any gpu deals, but I know they ran some for about 50-100$ off on the higher end cards like the 980ti and fury.

What I took advantage of last year was buying three 75hz 1440p ips panels for 200$ each because they were down from 600$.

I would wait and grit your teeth with what you have now. Those deals can only help you, and with the money saved you might be able to jump on a good deal for a solid SSD or some more ram, or a new keyboard/mouse, that kind of thing.

Subscribe to PC partpicker's newsletter for GPU prices. It'll help you see the price and percentage drops. I'd take advantage of Newegg if the product has a price guarantee.

I wouldn't really count on anything "big" on Black Friday or Cyber Monday other than what they would go on sale for normally anyway. That or they may include a "limited time deal" like adding a game or a bigger mail-in rebate or something.

Basically, wait until then, but don't expect anything big. Like how you shouldn't expect any AAA titles that came out within the last few weeks before a regular Steam sale to be on sale.
