I'm gonna be building my 1st gaming rig (I'm kind of an amateur at this stuff), but I understand how important the PSU is and I can't just rush over it... So I'll just give y'all the specs of my build and you can assist me on what PSU to buy

Asrock h170m pro4

Core i3 6100

EVGA GTX 1060 SC (3GB)

G.Skill Ripjaws V 8GB (2x4GB) DDR4

WD Blue 1TB 3.5" SATA (7.2kRPM)

Asus DRW-24B1st/BLK/B/AS 24x DVD

Annnnnddd in 'case' it matters, DIYPC J180-BL

So the power supply I basically am leaning toward is the Corsair cx430... But now I wonder if this pc will suck up a lot of juice if it ever spikes, and I don't know if the 430 is strong enough... If it's not, my 2nd resort will be the EVGA 500w (something like that)

So any of you tech masters, and help would be appreciated!

This is also my 1st post, sorry if I'm not following a layout or whatever

What's your budget? For the system in total?

DO NOT buy the CX430M. Get the CX450M. The CX430M is one of the older generation CXMs, with a green label. Newer CXMs have gray labels.

Well at this point, I'm far into it I don't really care but I hope to spend less than $40-$50 on the PSU

Assuming you've bought the parts already:

Grey Unit CXM.

A Corsair CX450M or Seasonic S12 430 is fine for you. Your system will never even see 200W of power draw.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.

There aren't any insane screaming deals on Newegg right now (although at $30, even a CX500 starts to look a little wee bit tempting, but not for a gaming PC). Here are a couple that might make sense:

I enjoy buying junk and sinking more money than it's worth into it to make it less junk.
