Updating Graphics drivers

Go to solution Solved by TheArium,

Can't say what's going on here, but if I were you I would either re-install the old drivers or simply take your system back to just before you made the update and then, of course, don't update. Many have the philosophy when it comes to drivers that if it ain't broken don't fix it, so unless you were experiencing a problem with your drivers I would just let it be. For now, at least.

What exactly do you mean when you say you can't go to the control panel?

normally it updates fine but now instead of being in 5760x1080 I am at 1920x1080 and can't get to the control panel here is the error I am getting when i double click the driver install after trying to do it manually.

if anybody could help it would be greatly appreciated

I can't access nvidia control panel I am now trying another manual install after detecting hardware changes from device manager and it appears to be working so far

I see. If it doesn't work, try go to Control Panel (for your PC, not Nvidia) -> System and Security -> Restore the PC to an earlier point (I'm not completely sure what they are called in English).

This utility will take your system back to the point before you updated the driver, and it won't touch your personal files. Your PC automatically creates these restore points from time to time or before something is changed. It's a great tool and it works wonders sometimes.
