OCZ TR150 or Samsung 850-EVO

jaffacakes

Heya,

I'm building an office PC for my parents (build: http://it.pcpartpicker.com/list/qs8Cr7, note that there is no HDD since they're going to use a NAS for general storage), mostly used for AutoCAD and PhotoShop.

I was giving a look at some 240GB SSDs, and the OCZ TR150 and Samsung 850evo turned out to be the best in therms of read/write speeds (TR150: r550/w520; 850evo: r540/w520).

The SSD will be used for both the OS and programs.

In therms of price the TR150 is €30 cheaper, which is saved money that could go towards the NAS.

Cheers.

go with the trion 150. since its an office pc, your parents have no need for the speed or durability of an 850 evo

The 850 Evo can achieve read and write speeds of 1500MBS+ using Samusng RAPID technology. I would still recommend getting the trion. You don't need an 850 evo for an Office PC. Its a little bit much. You'd only be getting the Samsung for better reliability of the name.
