29 inch ultrawide monitor

At the moment I have a 24inch monitor and I thought it as time to upgrade. I have been thinking about the a 29 inch ultrawide monitor. However I wasn't sure if the extra space would be worth the money. ( When I get the monitor I will have a gtx 1080 aswell so I know it will work fine)

Depends on what you plan to do with it.  If you're buying for productivity, it's amazing, I couldn't recommend it more.  But if you're buying it just to game, I'd say look elsewhere.

I for one have it. I like it cause I mainly play MMO and RPGs. If you're into FPS games go for higher spec ultrawide or else you'd be stuck with the 5ms and 60hz refresh rate. But for RPG is very beautiful cause of the extra realty.

The game should i play are like GTA v, csgo, overwatch and bf4 but all of them I am pretty sure can run 21:9

A GTX 1080 would be wasted on a 29" ultrawide 1080p monitor. Upgrade to either a 27" 1440p 144hz monitor or a 34" ultrawide 1440p monitor.

That should be fine unless you're fps junkie. My 980ti can run 130-180fps on CSGO.

I have a 29" 21:9 and just so you know it is about the same size as a 23.5" 16:9 (in height). It will not "feel" bigger than your monitor. I personally would go at least 34" with a 21:9 (personally I'm waiting for an affordable 38-40" one to upgrade.)

Having issues with a Corsair AIO? Possible fix here:

Are you getting weird fan behavior, speed fluctuations, and/or other issues with Link?

Are you running AIDA64, HWinfo, CAM, or HWmonitor? (ASUS suite & other monitoring software often have the same issue.)

Corsair Link has problems with some monitoring software so you may have to change some settings to get them to work smoothly.

-For AIDA64: First make sure you have the newest update installed, then, go to Preferences>Stability and make sure the "Corsair Link sensor support" box is checked and make sure the "Asetek LC sensor support" box is UNchecked.

-For HWinfo: manually disable all monitoring of the AIO sensors/components.

-For others: Disable any monitoring of Corsair AIO sensors.

That should fix the fan issue for some Corsair AIOs (H80i GT/v2, H110i GTX/H115i, H100i GTX and others made by Asetek). The problem is bad coding in Link that fights for AIO control with other programs. You can test if this worked by setting the fan speed in Link to 100%, if it doesn't fluctuate you are set and can change the curve to whatever. If that doesn't work or you're still having other issues then you probably still have a monitoring software interfering with the AIO/Link communications, find what it is and disable it.

Thank you guys and should I go for the 34 inch 1080p or 1440p because I may not be able to move my budget to the 1440p
