I've been frickin hacked. I'm so pissed right now. I can't open my email, school accounts, or anything. People in my address book are getting random emails telling them that I made a slideshow for them and to download it. There are about 1000 people in my address book. My computer I see opening random tabs and running random things without my control. Somehow they got through my gmail, but it gave me a message that someone logged in from the U.K. I have their I.P., because I screenshot red it but now I can't view the actual email again because they changed my gmail password.

pleasee help I don't know what to do and I'm freaking out.

First, don't panic. Panic won't help. Writing on LTT will however

Ask Gmail to recover your password asap. Tell them you have been hacked.

Change password for all service that been hacked.

If there is a virus in PC I suggest back up vital files that is important and do a clean installation of it. Even if you are still worried burn the hard drive or trash it and get a new one.

Start by getting access back to your gmail account. You should have security questions set, if that doesn't work there should be other fail safes like a linked phone number. After that you start by regaining access to the most important compromised accounts. Then changing the passwords to any accounts you still have access to. Followed by getting access to less important compromised accounts.

Do this from your phone while you start scanning your pc or just wiping drives and reinstalling windows.

Disconnect the internet if possible and just to a clean install at that point. Follow the others advice for the accounts.

If I reset my pic, will it get rid of the virus?

send emails from a new account to everyone saying you have been hacked. make a new one from a device that you think is safe

Email account is the worst thing that can be hacked (exept for maybe the PC in itself), and is the one thing you should defend the most (two step verdification, different password from everything else and so on)

If you PC is fine, Email Account is the first account you should try to get back.
Emailing / sending message / post on social media or contact in another way to those you know the hacker could easily send things to and spreading virus should also be a high priority. (so the hacker can do least damage possible)

It matters that you don't just give up.”
