I have an Intel Core i5 4590..... i thought that the i5 6600k is better than mine...
but cpu boss says i5 4590 is more powerful....I dont wanna upgrade my cpu 

so will i stay with my one or the 6600k?

Don't use CPU boss, it's very inaccurate.

CPUBoss is trash. There's your reason why it says the i5 4590 is better.

 

I'd consider getting the Xeon 1231 v3 instead which is basically a i7 4770 and would be a better buy than the i5 6600K IMO. It offers higher minimum framerates and more consistent frametimes.

If you want to compare PC Parts use http://www.userbenchmark.com/ with a grain of salt.

 

Would I recommend you upgrade CPUs? No

Is the i5 6600k faster than the i5 4590? Yes.

CPU Boss is compete crap, basically uses for comparison. The only decent website it userbenchmark. I would keep your i5, not much of a performance increase.

6600k is around 25% faster at stock, and around 35% faster if you OC it. Compared to your i5 4590.

CPU boss is some sorry excuse for comparison.

Don't focus solely on the performance increase itself.  Remember, 170 chipset motherboards come with newer features, like M.2 support, USB 3.1.   and better on board audio.
