Hello guys!
I'm on a quest searching for a new daily driver of mine, which I idealise as a 2in1 laptop/pc. Currently I'm using my surface pro (1st gen) and it's starting to feel old. I was really hyped about the new surface book, or surface pro that was supposed to come out yesterday (10.26), but unfortunately microsoft left me down. However, I'm very satisfied what my surface pro can do. I used to use it to handwrite notes on, but the system is not powerful enough to support writing without overheating, which is quite unpleasent.
What I'm looking for in a new machine, is not quite simple, so it's really hard to decide, let alone find one.

The machine should have a dedicated pen, that which when I write ignores my wrist and makes it comfortble to write on. I need something better than a Core M, for the following reasons: I want to have a USB 3.1 type-C port. Yes, I like to game, and that's why I'd love to be able to connect an external one. This is where Microsoft let me down, because the surface book looks amazing, have great CPU, but lacks this port.
Anyone seen something like this? Or at least heard rumors, etc? What I saw was the Acer Spin 7. It looks promising, but there is very little known about the CPU, and I can't find any information about a pen whatsoever.
Also, this is for an other topic, but I have to ask here: Does USB 3.1 Thunderbolt guarantee that I can hook an eGPU to it?

Thank you for readaing this, your advise is always welcome.
Thank you in advance.

Overheating under load is not a concern,

How is this not a concern...????

Because I'll not hold the divece. It will be on my desk, screen turned off. Also, It's directly under the AC system.

Overheating means the PC will either slow down to a crawl or shut down. So unless you like working with a computer slower than a tablet or losing your work suddenly, I'd rethink this.

I know what overheating means.
Here is what I thought: If I use a GPU instead of the CPU for graphics, the CPU will have less load, which means lower temperature. But I trust Acer, they built a decent machine.

Except you have a GPU that's taking up as much power, if not more than the CPU anyway and your total power dissipation is the same if not greater.

The tech works. Just you'll see how much workarounds you'll have to do. The ULV chip will bottleneck the shit out of any GPU you would in the Core.

OH, right. I thought it has a proprer core i7 (numbers)U processor, turns out it's "just" a 7Y65, which is just a fancy way of saying mobile cores. I guess this whole thing wasn't even designed to handle a GPU. I guess my search continues. Any ideas what other good machines are?

thats a core m. A U CPU is also a crap CPU, no matter what U CPU you get it will always be weaker than a desktop i3. If you want a mobile chip that is somewhat decent look for HQ. There are basically no 2in1 with a HQ.

A ULV CPU (A CPU that ends with a U) is only about 20-30% better than a core m, not useful for gaming, unless your gaming is hearthstone

Before you buy amp and dac.  My thoughts on the M50x  Ultimate Ears Reference monitor review I might have a thing for audio...

DAC and AMP: RME ADI 2 DAC

Speakers: Genelec 8040, System Audio SA205

Receiver: Denon AVR-1612

Desktop: R7 1700, GTX 1080  RX 580 8GB and other stuff

Laptop: ThinkPad P50: i7 6820HQ, M2000M. ThinkPad T420s: i7 2640M, NVS 4200M
