I know plenty of people have asked this before but I haven't found any clear answers in the admittedly small amount of research I have invested.

I would like to host a TeamSpeak 3 server behind a VPN so people cannot DDOS me etc.

Am I wrong in thinking they will not be able to DDOS me because they will be attempting to DDOS a VPN provider's server farm with extremely fast internet?

Anyway, is this possible?

I use no-ip.com currently for my domain.

Are there any hoops to jump through etc?

Why are you afraid of ddos? if it hosting teampseak for bunch of mates you should be fine. I see no reason for random people ddos server for no reason. If your IP is not dynamic you could just request ISP a ip change if ever experience a ddos and in most cases you know who is ddosing you as you pissed off some someone.

Only people I've had try and DoS mean are upset players that were banned.

What VPN provider were you looking to use? I think in theory a DoS attack could prevent new people from joining the VPN, I don't entirely think it would drop currently connected people.

Depending on your VPN of choice, you might not be able to do what you want.
