Hi, I am trying to build a pc using a  P9X79 WS motherboard and a Xeon E5-2690 processor. I have upgraded the bios to support the processor using asus bios flashback to make sure that the bios is not the issue.

When trying to boot the fans spin properly but I receive no Q-Code and the motherboards DIAG_CPU led is solid blue meaning that there was an issue with the cpu. If I take out the ram it gives me the same error. If I unplug/take everything out except for the cpu, cooler, and the 24 pin connector, I still get the same error. I have read online that if you unplug the 8 pin cpu connector and try to turn the system on, you will get a red led by the 8 pin connector but this does not happen for me.  Please help me fix this issue, I hope my motherboard isn't bricked.

Is there any bent pins, or damage to the socket?

You need ram for the computer to post, and the 8pin to give the cpu power.

Do you have compatible ram, ecc ram especially registered may not work.

There were 2 bent pins but I took a lot of time to correct them then I scanned over the whole socket with a magnifier to check for any more. I've seen other people to where if they unplug the 8 pin connector a red led will come on, but this does not happen for me. Does that mean that my cpu is not getting the power?

Also The ram, I have multiple types of ram that I have tried, Hynix ECC, corsair gaming, 2 different types of kingston hyperx, Gskill, generic samsung, and generic kingston memory. None of those work

I would say to double check and make sure that none of the pins were broken, and that the were correctly bent back.

If you got that board for anything under $200USD then the seller probabbly sold it as not working.

If that isn't it, does the cpu say "Confidential" on it signifying it is an ES cpu? Or does it actually say e5-2690?

Ok I did look at the memory compatibility list and one of the sticks that i have is 100% compatible and the stick does work. The cpu does actually say E5-2690.

Here are some images of the pins, they all look ok to me.

Have you connected a gpu to it?

lga 2011 cpus don't have integrated  graphics.
