    • Single Strix 1080 (1759 MHz, 1898 MHz Boost) - ££755.48

Long story short, I'm preparing to build a new system that's going to be used for a wide range of things (From VR gaming, 4K gaming and game development) the card will be alongside an i7 6700K and 32GB 3000 DDR4 memory. Which setup would be more beneficial and why?

OP is getting either 2 1070's or 1 1080

There is confusion because dual strix sounds like a type of cooler (I may be wrong, :P )

alright yeah I was confused because I thought he was talking about the coolers xD

I still stand by saying getting a 1080 than. makes no sense to sli 1070 for a vr rig and 4k gaming when a single 1080 can pretty much achieve that. As well you can always add another 1080 or even sell the 1080 and use the funds for that for a 1080ti

I'm not even sure the retailer sells Titan X(P) cards alone, checking their tab they're all pre-made systems

Everything depends if you're planning on upgrading to a second 1080 in the future or not

It's highly unlikely, given the cost of a single 1080. In the future, maybe. I only plan on running a single 4K Display and a HTC Vive anyway.

Even if it's unlikely, I'd go for the 1080. It's always a better idea to be prepared for future upgradability

Single 1080 it is then! Thank's all! ^^
