Hi there,

I am building a new gaming PC and here is what I've got so far...

Budget: around 800US (including monitor, OS, peripherals etc.)

Location: Australia

Aim: Gaming

OS: Windows 10

I am using mwave.com.au for my parts

GPU: GTX 970 Xtreme gaming 4GB (getting it for $130US)

MOBO: ASRock B150 PRO4 1151 microATX

RAM: Team Elite+ 2x4gb DDR4 2133

CPU: i5 6500

HDD: WD BLUE 1TB

PSU: Fractal design 550W integra-M 80+ Bronze

CASE: Deepcool tesseract SW Mid-tower ATX RED

MONITOR: AOC 21.5" full IPS Monitor (any other good cheap monitor recommendations?)

DVD DRIVE: ASUS DVD Drive

KEYBOARD: Cougar 200k scissor switch gaming keyboard

MOUSE: TT eSports Talon Gaming optical mouse

OS: Windows 10 home OEM key

Yes I know there isn't an SSD, I will upgrade in the future definitely. Please give my criticism and tell me any improvements! :)

Thanks in advance for the feedback

Hey man, I live in Australia too so I can relate a lot to your future plan, also my first ever plan of the gaming rig I was going to get did infact feature the case you're planning to get - the Deepcool tesseract SW Mid-tower ATX RED. I'm also buying most of my build components from Mwave as well so technically we're on the same boat here :P

Anyways could you just tell me exactly how much your budget is in AUD? Just so I can get a better approximation to helping you upgrade your build plan.

Also I'm not sure if you know this, but, you can always use http://pcpartpicker.com/, a website with great potential to help with creating future gaming rig plans just as you wrote... and it helps to just link the build in future forums posts you post up rather than typing it on, saves space too :P.

Hope that helps :D

For that price I don't think you could get anything better.

And that build seems like perfect for 1080p gaming :)

Intel i7 12700K | Gigabyte Z690 Gaming X DDR4 | Pure Loop 240mm | G.Skill 3200MHz 32GB CL14 | CM V850 G2 | RTX 3070 Phoenix | Lian Li O11 Air mini

Samsung EVO 960 M.2 250GB | Samsung EVO 860 PRO 512GB | 4x Be Quiet! Silent Wings 140mm fans

WD My Cloud 4TB

I second that, but in my honest opinion I just feel like the Deepcool Tesseract is a okay case, with okay airflow and a flimsy and not so okay build strength seeing as how it's made of plastic. But, then again, seeing as how you're on a budget it might just be a viable option, I'll do a bit of research and see if I can conjure up something better quality/build-wise. :D

Also something preferably with a window

Hahaha no worries man, well seeing as how you have a $1100, mid-range pc budget, I'd really recommend that you get a better case to show off your rig and also if possible get a colour scheme in play (sorry if you have one and I didn't notice :/) so your build is something your always happy to see :P

Also if you're interested I don't mind giving you a few links to $1100 gaming rigs I've made on PCpartpicker so you can choose the best one you like/want :D ofcourse that is if you want to get the somewhat best "bang for your buck" computer for that budget.

Hope that helps :)

Sure no worries, I'll have them for you within a few hours time as I'm currently busy.

im willing to spend around $60AU but i'm willing to go up $20 if it is really cool one

So roughly $80 for a pretty mid-range, aesthetically pleasing case. Okay cool I'll come up with a few options for you.

Well if you're going to go for the S340 would you consider perhaps paying an extra 30 bucks for the tempered glass edition? The NZXT Source S340 Elite (Matte Black with Tempered Glass Side)?

yep ok, also do you know of any cheap quiet fans?

Well to be honest with you, I don't know much about cheap quiet fans... all I know is that Noctua is one of the best competitors in the market with amazing fans that cool your pc down but have absolutely crap colour design. Sorry :( I'm personally thinking of going with the Corsair AF/SP fans for my case but I have also been given recommendations to upgrade from them to the Noctua fans as well so all together I'd be the worst person to ask about fans and pc temps, BUT I'll be starting to get into a bit of research to better understand them and their market so until then I guess I'm useless :/ sorry if it wasnt helpful.

As a matter of fact I have indeed;

The Bitfenix Comrade (Black) -

https://www.mwave.com.au/product/bitfenix-comrade-atx-mid-tower-windows-case-black-ab82777

The Bitfenix Nova (Black) -

https://www.mwave.com.au/product/bitfenix-nova-atx-mid-tower-window-case-black-ab82775

Or even the Corsair Carbide Spec 01, 02 or 03

https://www.mwave.com.au/product/corsair-carbide-spec01-midtower-case-ab54382

https://www.mwave.com.au/product/corsair-carbide-spec02-midtower-case-red-led-ab54381

https://www.mwave.com.au/product/corsair-carbide-spec03-midtower-case-red-led-ab54380

Check those out, I'm still researching but those are the ones that caught my eye for some aesthetically pleasing looks. Not the most beautiful though... :/

*EDIT* Also what about the Cooler Master MasterBox 5 (White) -

https://www.mwave.com.au/product/cooler-master-masterbox-5-windowed-mid-tower-case-white-ab83563

In my honest opinion I'd suggest you go for the Cooler Master Masterbox 5, because;

1) It looks pretty decent

2) Is a product of a very trustworthy and formidable brand

3) Has everything you're looking for with a strong build quality

4) Also is pretty cheap ;)

That's my opinion but whatever you like you choose ofcourse because at the end of the day it won't be me whose at the desk about to load up a game or movie, having to look at a computer case someone else chose for me. You know what I mean? Choose something you're more happier with. :D Hope that helps!
