Hello There,

I will be purchasing from NCIX, since they have that great price match system, but I needed a place to start so please excuse the image to come.  This Aim of this build is for an office.  It will be doing multiple vpn, cisco, sophos, remote desktop, programming with visual basics and office, along with exchange and lots of text/notpad++ etc.. Many many windows open at one time and lots of different applications doing something for edi programming.. I know that was a ramble.. There will be NO gaming, NO video streaming, NO music playing.  I have sound equipment and a tv for those things, sorry don't play any games.

I am going to be running (3) hp W2408h 1920x1200 16:10 monitors off of this and I already know the connectors I need and have them in my personal stock cabinet.  I will be running Windows 7 enterprise on this system as we have not started to develop under the requirements of Windows 8.1 yet. ( I already have another monster machine running that ).  The keyboard and mouse etc.. are all taken care of.

Please accept my apologies for this link, but it had a nice listing layout.  Please advise on part changes, suggestions.  The parts I picked were because of price at the time, quality, reviews, etc.. I did not choose the Z board, it chose me for the price and reviews.  There will be no overclocking, so yes I understand I could go with another board.  Hence the reason I am here.. I would like to know what Linus thinks or the staff or any of the thousands of brilliant people posting on this site.  I will answer questions as best I can and we can go from there.  I think this build is NOT overkill, nor under powered.  I do like some items over others that could be utilized again, due to reviews and quality, plus the current price.

Thanks for any and all information, suggestions and ideas..

If this is actually gonna be in a professional space, for the love of God don't use a gaming case...

The case will be under the desk.. The case was chose since it has some extra space as I have big hands and don't want to work in something even smaller.  I was watching the video for the bitfenix prodigy but it had mixed reviews so still up in the air about that.  Will take the case under consideration based on so many responses to that atm.. Thank you for posting..

posted before the info on the ram.. Thanks for the information. nice timings on those other chips as well.  Will read on them and update my configuration.. Thank you..

okay.. I bit the bullet on a couple nicer items ( even though I think it is now a little overkill ) However, you never know what you might do later.  I am keeping the mobo, since I could not find anything better for the price ( discounted ) with decent reviews.  I have changed the case based on the information above about having something sleeker and will now be putting it on top of the desk so you can see its style.  I updated the ram to suggested ram for lower price and decent timings.  I know I can get this machine for about 900.00 USD, so that works out great.  Thanks again for all your help.  Much appreciation!

The prices are always changing and some are better at NCIX and some at NewEgg.  Will get the best price but purchase from two different location.  Thanks again!  Have a great weekend!
