Surface Pro 2 - Boot Loop? [Solved]

Hey guys,

I wanted to reset my Surface Pro 2 the other day and instead of doing a good old format and reinstalling a clean windows, I decided to trust Windows and used the reset function....
Unfortunately, that wasn´t a good idea at all.
The Surface was resetting and got to about 7-10% and then shut down. It was connected to the power and there really should have been nothing that could have caused the error.
Now however, it won´t boot. It gets to the Surface Logo and then shuts down and repeats endlessly. All I can do is hold the Vol - Down button to get into the "BIOS" which has like 3 quite useless settings.

Does anyone have any idea what I can do? How I could boot from a USB?
Im at a major loss...

Thanks guys!

Thanks guys!

Try this with a bootable USB.

To boot from a USB manually, do this:

Attach a bootable USB storage device.

Hold the volume down button.

Press and release the power button

When the Surface logo appears, release the volume down button.

I tried this but it won´t work. The Surface Logo comes up, I release the Vol button and then nothing happens. The Surface continues to bootloop.

#Edit
I managed to get it working using the Windows 8.1 Recovery File you can download straight from the MS website.
It reset the Surface to 8.1 but that was to be expected. Upgrade to Windows 10 straight away and running perfectly.

Thanks for the help!
