Powerline problems

Go to solution Solved by System Error Message,

plug the adapter into another room and see if it works. It could either be the unit doesnt work or faulty wiring. Sometimes it could be another device interfering.

Hi everyone,

So i have a problem with one of my powerline adapters. I have 3 connected in total, 1 for a security camera which works fine, 1 for a tv and 1 for my desktop. But the one for my desktop doesn't work anymore since this evening. It is not the adapter itself, it is the entire room. For some reason wherever i plug it in in my room, i just don't get a signal. Something the connection light flickers for a few seconds just to stop after that.

I already had it plugged in there for almost a year and i have had some more problems. For instance that the DNS server could not be found and that the network adapter had a false ip adress. Those problems always fixed themself in about 5 minutes and they happened at least once a day. What conclusion can i draw from that? Are too many devices used? Does the internet have to go over too many power groups? This morning i had normal internet speeds, but tonight the speed rapidly went down and now it is completely gone. But the wifi still works with normal speeds and so do the other devices that are connected to the powerline.

Please help.

The connection just came back. It is still pretty slow though. But i just bought extra long lan-cables and i will connect the pc directly to the modem. I am getting very frustrated with this untable internet connection.

Thanks anyway.
