980 is a much better deal. Around the same performance for I've $100 less? 980 definitely.

I would say 980 also. 980s overclock like a boss. It outperforms a 1060 anyways

No it isn't. That used 980 performs slightly better or around the same, and its over $100 cheaper. Way higher performance for the price.

980 is definitely the better choice here, especially if you overclock it. Would get that over the 1060 anyday.

I've tried various oc's on my 980 and the best out there is 1500 mhz clock on a firstrike benchmark i saw. 1060 has better power efficiency and higher clock on a newer architecture. The newer drivers will be more optimized for the 10 series. Since 373.06 drivers have been wobbly for the 900 series.
