Aye, what you gonna power with that? If a lower wattage is possible you have more options to choose from. Corsair RMi linup are very good and silent ones fro example. But think highest is 1000w if correct...

The object of life is not to be on the side of the majority, but to escape finding oneself in the ranks of the insane.

Just realized that a 1300w PSU at 100% load will produce more heat than a 650w at 100% load, so the 1300w unit will typically have a more powerful fan with a higher startup voltage - making it potentially louder overall when the fan spins up (of course, this also depends on the fan overall profile). If you are only getting a higher wattage unit because you believe that you are getting a quieter unit, just know that may not necessarily be the case. And even if it was, considering how there are quiet low wattage unit such as the Corsair RMx/RMi, EVGA G2/P2, BeQuiet Dark Power Pro 11, Enermax Platimax, etc. that either doesn't have the fan spin up a low loads and / or have a non-aggressive fan profile (thus not spinning up very hard throughout it entire load range), you may be paying large premium on something that wasn't needed.
