So, my current situation is that I've got a SuperHub 2AC is which is completely crap, My PC can't even see the 5Ghz network which is stupid. Now, I've set up this router Linksys WRT160N v3 as a secondary router. It works, I can connect and surf the interwebs. The problems is that ITS SLOW.

The router(s) are downstairs in the kitchen, My room is upstairs.

What is your ISP advertised speeds?

If you are not getting anything near those speeds try contacting your ISP as the connection to your house from the exchange may be faulty and this may be the issue.

60mbps down/5mbps up

Speeds are fine on my Laptop, Phone and my house mates tablet. I did a speed test on my phone, i get around 35mbps

This is my wireless adapter.

TP-LINK TL-WN881ND 300Mbps Wireless N PCI Express Adapter

It appears your wireless device only works on the 2.4 ghz band do you have any other wireless network solutions you can try on your computer? It may be the network causing these slow speeds.

No other way. Ethernet is out the question.

May I recommend buying a new network solution that is guaranteed to work on the 5 ghz band.

Here are just some recommendations for a new wireless solution that works on the 5 ghz band:

Thanks for the help. I've found a solution. The second router the WRT160N, I've it up as a client bridge. So It's just carrying the wireless signal from the main router and extending it to the upstairs. :) Seems to be doing the job. :P:D

Thanks for the recommendations and help!
