Specs

CPU - i5-3570K 3.40GHz

Motherboard - P8Z77-V PRO

RAM - 8GB (4x2GB) Corsair DDR3 Vengeance

HDD - 2TB Seagate ST2000DM001 Barracuda

GPU - 1GB Asus GTX 560 Ti

PSU - 620W Antec Neo

As the title suggests I will be buying a new gpu soon. I'm not too savy when it comes to gpu's so I need some advice. My budget is around the £250/$400 at the most.

I'll be playing most up to date games in 1080p primarily.

What are my choices?

Should I wait for any particular reason?

Should I also get a new PSU?

Thanks

I would wait until the 780 ti comes out, that way we see the price drops because of the new cards.

Even then, he won't be buying a 290x or 780. Best choice for him right now is either 280x or 770.

But the 770 may go down in price if rumours are correct. [this is all speculation] The 780 ti will slot in where the 780 was, the 780 will decrease in price and in turn the 770 may decrease in price to more thoroughly compete with the R9 280X, or I may be talking out of my ass.

I'd say there's a 15% possibility so maybe yeah, he should just wait a little.

If I were you I would get like 4 titans and a new PSU.

Some people just want to see the world burn, Let's think together for a second if he got a 3570k and a Shitty GPU means he was on a budget when he built his pc ( or he was a bit clueless at the time dunno )
Go with a 280x it's a good GPU between the 200 - 400 bucks margin u set on urself, otherwise I would wait for the 290x since it's most likely to rape the 780

At the time the 560 ti was a very good card, and still rapes to this day. And when the 3 gen intel cpu's came out it was still a magnificent card.

And saying that he was a bit "clueless" is going way too far and very rude.

I got all hardware 2011-12. I didn't see the point in going past the 3570k seeing as it was what I needed and an i7 was pointless. And the gpu has served me well up to now. I can play most games on ultra with just some hiccups still nowadays.

I'm looking for advice not silly guff that aint helpful.

Will these price drops affect on Amazon?
