What tool are you using?

Personally I just download the ISO from Microsoft website and then use Rufus to configure the USB.

How would I go about doing that? Also when you go to install it do you change the boot order and run it like that?

If you have the ISO, use: Windows USB/DVD Download Tool.

It's not even a Downloader, it just makes CD's/DVD's/USB's from Windows Installation ISO's.

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/windows-usb-dvd-download-tool

Then, ensure your Legacy USB options are ether enabled or Auto. Your USB stick probably isn't USB 3.X and with UEFI BIOS's they sometimes disable being able to boot from USB 2.0, since it is older tech. Enabling USB Legacy options will resolve you non-detection issue, especially if you used the tool I just mentioned to re-make your USB.
