Have you seen Linus video on the TM?

I would though choose the Ducky Shine 3 since they are generally higher quality products...

I went from ducky->quickfire TK->blackwidow.

Gotta say the number pad on quickfire TK is really annoying, at least I couldn't get used to it even after 2months of using it and the quality on ducky is superb. Go for ducky but I found those 4 shortcut buttons at the top right to be quite useless, wished they were customizable.

Thanks for the video. And also, I would like to get the Ducky shine 3 but it is twice as expensive.

Is this: http://www.mechanicalkeyboards.nl/full-size-model-mechanische-toetsenborden/ducky-dk9008g2-pro/1 the Ducky shine 2? I'm not sure.

Oh and btw, I'm not a PC gamer. I only play like a few times a month and barely use the arrow buttons. So I think I'm going for the CM storm because it's twice as cheap you know..

Yea once you get used to it, then it should be fine. But that numpad was the major cons of the product when it was in my hands

Hello guys,

I was thinking of buying the Ducky shine 3 but then I saw the CM Storm Quickfire TK who is quite a bit cheaper.

- Is the whole keyboard lighten?

- For the people who have the keyboard, is it annoying with the up arrow key? And how do you change it?

You switch between numpad and arrow/control keys by toggling Numlock. I got used to it in a few weeks myself and I use numpad a lot for work stuff and the arrows/control keys for gaming. If you don't use either that much, it really won't be a big problem. CM Storm keyboards are also very high quality for their low price. Easily the best choice when you don't want to spend a lot on a keyboard.

I love my TK :D

Yes the entire kb is lit, with some exceptions:

-Fn and F12(windows key lock) are only lit if they are active

-Arrow keys are unlit if you turn numlock on.

When you are not in numpad mode, the keys 1, 3, + and Enter don't have any funtionality

I got used to the switching within a couple weeks. It is well built, I like the font and it's the perfect kb for me :)

Although I did notice one bug in the firmware:

the arrow down button in numpad mode is a 00 button, so it is basicly a makro for pressing 0 twice, but when pressing it while holding down other keys, those keys get put after these two zeros again:

If you press "a" then "s" then "d" then "f" then "00" and then release them all, you should get this:

asdf00

but you really get this:

asdf00asdf

This is a tiny detail, but I don't care and neither should you, it's an epic keyboard :D

EDIT: What do you mean with your last question?

Funny, one persons con is another persons positive.

I got the keyboard exactly for the number pad design. Never had any problems adjusting. The one thing I dislike about the keyboard is I couldn't get the red LEDs paired with blue or green switches. Red light at night is better for the insomniac.

I love looking for bugs :D

Anyways, switching to the arrow keys works just by turning numlock off.
