Help please.

I have a General Electric Spacemaker Domestic Washer / Dryer intended for use in North America but I wish to use it in Ireland - where it is currently located.

I have a correct 7.5 KVA +120V - neutral - -120V power supply - but the frequency is 50 HZ (not the 60HZ as designed for the unit)

I was counting on the fact that the hertz variance would only alter the length of washing programs - but not so.

It seems that the electronic control circuitry is HZ sensitive. It will run a wash cycle - then go into fault mode. After rebooting the system it will then do a rinse - and then shut down again as a fault - one more reboot to get the program to advance to spin. This is not so convenient to say the least. My thinking is to  insert a low power frequency converter  (take in 50hz - present 60hz to the electronic program control) to 'trick' the electronics into thinking that it is a 60hz service. The GE model number is GUD27ESMJW - Any ideas would be appreciated as to where to get a 'low power' frequency converter and where in the circuitry to insert it - and I suppose I need to ask the primary question which is to say, 'Is this the best way to solve the problem', or is there a better way altogether?

BTW - the Clothes Dryer' works perfectly - as it is controlled by the more 'old fashioned' electo-mechanical timer.

A big thank you for any guidance.

Most electric devices are built to handle 50-60Hz especially if it is built withinthe last 10 years, the signal already probabbly varies about 5Hz for most lines.

Check to see if the fault is actually an issue with something else.
