$250 headphone + dac/amp

Go to solution Solved by Dackzy,

why do you "need" a DAC and amp? Go give the pinned post a read. It is pinned for a reason ;)

Hi guys,

I'm looking to buy some good entry level audiophile headphones. I know some of the ones that cost 150+ will need a dac or amp so I've budgeted around 250 Canadian. Any suggestions for good headphone / dac pairings. They will be used mostly at home on my desktop. I listen to mostly early/mid 2000 punk rock and acoustic stuff. Open /closed back doesn't matter.
