So I will be moving in soon with some family while I finish school. Rent will be super cheap which should help mitigate school expenses plus allow for saving up for projects like this, plus I will have access to laundry and drying machines plus access to tools in the garage (some of which I partly own but are being kept there since I didn't have room for them at my place).

Both me and my girlfriend will be living here and since we both are avid PC gamers plus my cousins are avid console gamers, I would really love to create an awesome gaming/living/bedroom experience. I've been doing tons of research on how to go about building these (desk). I found several helpful guides on Youtube and in forums on IKEA countertop DIY desk. The main desk, with 2 monitors and 1 TV is 98" x 25.625" and is 27" high. This desk will host my current PC, my girlfriend's current PC, and a 3rd mini ITX build I will be doing later this winter. The second desk will have my gaming laptop, and an upgraded Dell Inspiron 537s; table size is 59" x 29.5" and will also be 27" high. There will also be a couple of tablets, an Asus (Android), a Chuwi (Windows 10), and a Surface RT (Windows 8.1 RT), located around.

Other plans:

Painting! We've been given permission to paint our rooms in whatever colors we'd like. I really want to make our room stand out as an entertainment heaven for my friends, family, and my girlfriend. The main wall where both my PC and girlfriend's PC I want to paint with the Zotac Amp stripes. 2 Large Yellow Stripes on a matte silver/gray surface. 1 wall will be white (important for future plan), other walls will be matte black.

Basic Idea

RQWK0hn.jpg

Entertainment! So why the white wall?! Simply because I want to try a projector. I've seen a bunch of good Chinese projectors go for under $200 that have 1080p resolution at 60Hz with really good reviews. I want one of the walls to be white to project onto it. Either that or buy a pulldown white screen and roof mount it. Ultimate Netflix and Chill or movies & chill!

Gaming!!! So I should have a budget for a 3rd PC plus the Dell upgrade later this year (December 2016 - January 2017), maybe even sooner if I save up with monitors, keyboards, and mice for all. This will be the centerpiece of attraction! 5 Gaming PCs for League of Legends (perfect team combo setup), Overwatch, Battlefield 1, World of Tanks, plus other fun coop games. If I manage to pull all of this off, which I feel confident in achieving and completing, I'd also love to set up Streaming. I'd love to stream me, my girlfriend, and family/friends playing together. Yeah I know! Lots of people to stream with and manage, but this would be the ultimate goal. To stream and have fun!

Forgot to add: I've also found the furniture to accomplish all of this. Total of other furniture (Bed plus chairs) = $800

So you already built the 2 first PC's?

Correct!

What size is the laptop

Its 17.5" diagonally. Screen is about 15" I have the layer for the measurements turned off. But it has all the dimensions (L, W, D) of every item.

Plan on anything to deal with the heat generated from all of that being in the same room? I can imagine it would get pretty hot.

Edit: Also there's no motherboards listed in the builds.

I've been extremely lucky so far. My old plasma TV (42" LG) generated a lot of heat and you could definitely feel the heat generated from that thing. My current monitor/TV is a 50" LED which is relatively cool compared to the plasma.

All my PCs I have to turn off after 4 min of standby. This is to mitigate any heat from when they are idle. Its kind of annoying but I've learned to deal with it.

Window or A/C I think

Well, both. I currently have AC here, but rarely use it. I instead use a fan whenever it gets warm. It's never gotten uncomfortably warm though. This could change though in the new place/room. It is 20% smaller than my current bedroom. I'll test the waters, besides aea3b3c95be16b368691732609d4b6cdcc53759d

...So I won't be complaining about heat for months to come.

Now just add some chairs. Standing while gaming is not really confortable

For chairs I have these planned

We use these where I work(ed) at. They are quite comfortable, don't look too distracting and they seem to hold up plus they are about $90.
