my rig right now is a i7 4770k, 16gigs ram, 3 256gb ssd, asus deluxe/dual motherboard, GTX 980 TI FTW, and X34 monitor. VR is my thing run both vive and rift and when not doing vr mmo's are my games of choice. Also have a alienware 17r2 that i game on for lan party and on the go.

 

Wife says I have to many toys :)

 

what should i do

1 sell everything and get uber laptop that can do it all, IE New alienware or MSI

2. build new kabby lake, 1080 system when it comes out

3. upgrade what I have.

A 4770k? I don't think Z97 boards are that costly quite yet.

Just buy a new motherboard then, an upgrade would cost alot more for little performance
