Headset Suggestions

So hey guys,

I was wondering if you guys could give me some suggestions on a good headset. I play mainly FPS games and need a good pair to help with playing. I also need a headset that is good for long gaming sessions. My budget is at least $100. Also black and white color if you can.

I do wear HyperX Cloud II and i can recommend as well, everyone that i recommended em to are more than satisfied

i would recommend the sph9500 with an external mic at that price. if you were to get the hyperx clouds, get the cloud 1 not cloud 2. the only difference is 7.1 (which is entirely software, and no where near as effective as proper soundstage) and a usb amp (which ends up reducing audio quality)

Cloud 1 or 2 is good for an all in one solution.

 

But since you already have a mic, you can go for Sennheiser HD558 or Philips SHP9500. Those two are fun & pretty awesome for music, gaming & movies especially for the price.

But if its only for pure FPS gaming, i would have a look at ATH AD500x-700x, those will help you pinpoint steps easily from any headset/headphones in that price range. Drawback is that they have smaller bass than HD558 and SHP9500 imo.

 

M40X should be good for closed back imo, but lack the soundstage compared to all the open back i mentioned at the top

 

Note: those are open back headphones, so they leak and also pickup sound from outside pretty easily. Closed back would be advised in a noisy environment.
