So one of my friends young kids was just given an old custom built office computer to play around with. His hopes and dreams for it are to be able to play rocket league on it with his friends online. He's had issues getting rocket league to work on it so I told him I would come take a look at it and see what I could do. Taking a look inside the computer I found that its was very low on power and was gonna have a hard time running rocket league at its current state.

The whole thing is built around this Mobo   http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813135076

This CPU   http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819113170&cm_re=Amd_Phenom_X3_8400-_-19-113-170-_-Product

 2GBs of DDR2 ram

and a 450W PSU and an

I had an old 4gb kit of DDR2 ram and a  AMD Radeon HD 6770 Gpu laying around back at my place that I plan on putting in for him but that still leaves him sorely lacking on Cpu power with that wimpy little AMD Phenom thats in there.

Question I have for you guys is, Is there a better CPU and I can buy for the MoBo that is currently in there? I know best option would be to grab a newer Board, a budget cpu, and ddr3 ram but thats more money then the kids gonna have for a long time and while I want to help him out I can't be dropping that kind of cash right now.

Anyway I much appreciate the help. Normally I would just look this up myself but I know next to nothing about those old AMD sockets so some insight from someone who understands it better would be great. :)

Drop the cooler and get yourself a A8 chip.

http://pcpartpicker.com/list/tmBBvV MoBo's not the same but comparable

Thats useless. Yeah its a nice shiny display but what about raw specs for each item? What socket is that CPU, what cache, what TDP? Thats the wrong MoBo and there are no specs so how could I possibly ask for a list of Compatible CPU with a picture of the wrong the MoBo and no specs? Same thing with the GPu. Again Ooh shiny, now wheres the info?
