What server?

What OS? Try windows xp

Sometimes the certs are too old and you just can't use it.

It's a Dell M600.

The server is running windows server 2008 R2.

I'm trying to access it from my other server running windows 2008 R2 as well.

I'd prefer not to install XP. Can i change java version or something?

Try reinstalling Java.

Fire up a xp vm and give it a shot. XP seems to work on many older servers. I also get a error on some of my old dell systems and there is nothing you can do. If you have a lot of older server id just get a avocent network kvm system.

Do you have the dell m1000e blade box? I want pics

Hmm. Ok.

I can't give pics. It's a remote connection.

Latest version?

Or your browser could be blocking it.

If it is a security issue you might be able to solve it my going to "Configure Java" and adding the server to the address whitelist

Server 2: Athlon 4200+, HP OEM, 2GB RAM, WD Red 4TB, Maxtor 160GB

Desktop: G3258, MSI Z97-G43, Old 250GB HDD

^^This.

On the client, go to Control Panel, change the view to small icons, click Java. Go to the security tab and click Edit Site List. Add http://IPADDRESS and https://IPADDRESS - it might complain about it not being HTTPS - oh well. Some IPMI interfaces don't use HTTPS by default (older versions).

Otherwise you're going to need to install a really old version of Java like 1.5 before that security feature existed. Which on a server I'd advise against.
