Hey guys,

as my free storage is continually dropping, due to the awesome games coming out atm, I was looking for a new SSD. It should be at least 480GB(--> max. 140euros), (1TB --> max. 250euros) would be great though.

After some quick research, OCZ Trion 150 (960GB), SK Hynix SL308 (512GB) and Zotac Premium (480GB) would be some good choices. Could someone please tell me, which one of them is the best, or recommend some other SSD.

Thanks in advance!

Samsung 750 series. Almost same performance as 850 (you probably won't notice difference) but for a nice price.

Two phones. Note 7 and S7.

Crucial Mx300

Vouch for this, it's not as fast as Samsung 850 EVOs, but it makes very little difference in the real world. It is sometime faster than 850.

As far as I know only the Note 7. Havn't seen issue's with the S7.

Back on topic: Reason why you might think you hear more problems with Samsung SSD is because they are actually used very much. If the fail rate for a samsung is still same as a unkown brand, but Samsung sells 100 times the ammount of SSD over the other (because it's an overall populair choice) you tend to hear more story's about the Samsung my logic says.

Hi there :)

A note from me: storing games on SSDs may not be the best idea out there. Games don't really rely on the storage's performance for anything else but the loading times and FPS and Graphics' quality isn't affected. It wouldn't really matter if you run a game off a HDD or a SSD. SSDs may help with Open World and MMO games for hte surrounding textures to load faster/smoother but again that won't affect their quality nor the overall FPS. A good WD Blue drive should work perfectly fine for your needs.

Still, if you prefer to use a solid state drive you could check out WD Blue SSD as it can serve your needs perfectly fine.

Let me know if you have any questions!

If this helped you, like and choose it as best answer - you might help someone else with the same issue. ^_^
