As a young adult, after a few years of hard work i finally managed to buy my own apartment and i was lucky enough to build it pretty much from the ground up to how i like it. I am currently talking to a workshop for a costum made tv stand in witch i want to put my htpc so the form factor doesn't matter.

The TV i am currently looking at is not that special. A 50 inch full hd samsung. Since the room is not that massive i think that will do.

What i want out of my htpc is:

- able to use the likes of Netflix (streaming hd content)

- able to use steam in-home streaming

- able to playback full hd local files

- able to playback my bluray disks

- able to do all of that while hosting my teamspeak 3 server (usualy around 3-5 people on it)

- lowish power consumption since it will be always on.

can you guys please recommend me some parts? I am looking at amd apus a4 and a6 but they seem suspiciously cheap for what they advertised.. or shoud i go with intel?

a important thing for me is to be able to use steams in-home streaming i heard the cpu needs to support the decoding of some standard in order for that to work.

normally i would love to do all this research myself but for the last 4 years since i started working on a farm, i literally don't have any time. In order to make this post i had to climb a feed bin to get signal on my phone. I don't have any internet otherwise :( anyway i am going home in january and hopefully my apartment will be done until then.

really sorry for the long post any my  english mistakes. Thanks

Edit:

my main pc that i will stream steam games from is fairly decent.

some intel i5 4750k, 770gtx, 8gb ram

also i am on a gigabit connection including a gigabit router

Hmm as cheap as possible to meet the things i want to use it for. The tv will be 1080p so no 4k ultra hd required.

That beeing said, the max i could spend on this is 500€ but as i said i want to keep it as cheap as possible. I will also invest in some good silent noctua fans and sound insulation for inside the tv stand. It will have 2 holes each side for fans
