New Build: Any last minute changes I should make?

Anakso

About to buy all this (got it in the cart already) but wanted to check with the LTT forums first to see if this is all fine or if you'd make any last minute changes.

CPU: Intel Core i7-6700K
CPU Cooler: Be Quiet! Dark Rock Pro 3 CPU Cooler
Motherboard: Asus Z170 Pro Gaming

GPU: GTX 1070 EVGA FTW DT 8GB
Memory: 32GB Corsair Vengeance LPX Black C16 2666MHz
Storage: Samsung 950 Pro 256GB M.2 SSD
Storage: Western Digital Black 2TB
Case: Corsair Graphite 780T Black Full Gaming Tower with Side Panel Window

Power Supply: Corsair RM750i 80Plus gold modular power supply

Use case is bit of everything, I want a PC that can game but also handle other tasks like 3D modeling. I run 2x 4k Monitors (which are set 1080p at the moment as my current build is 6 years old) but plan on adding another monitor or two later, though not 4k ones. Definitely want a wide screen one above the two I have now, but I'll never be using more than one monitor to game on.

Will the build I've put together handle all that nicely?

Think about getting a GTX 1080. a 1070 will struggle a bit at 4k. probably 60fps on medium settings, where as a 1080 could get high/near max. Also, consider getting a 240mm or 280mm AIO liquid cooler if you'll be doing serious overclocking. If not, then your CPU cooler will be just fine

I considered the 1080, and I'm still debating going for a 1080 over a 1070 it's just the price jump isn't a small one. I decided to go with EVGA because I've heard good things about them (Though am not totally locked into EVGA), in Australian dollars the card I picked is $634 and the cheapest EVGA 1080 is is the 1080 FTW DT $1092, if I don't go EVGA the cheapest from a name I recognize is Asus Geforce 1080 Turbo at $999, with the actual cheapest being one by a company called Gainward at $883 but don't feel comfortable buying from a company I've never heard of.

But if the 1070 would struggle I might go 1080 anyway, do you have any recommendations of what 1080?

As far as brands go:

Asus

EVGA

GALAX

Gigabyte

MSI

NVIDIA (founders edition)

PNY

Zotac

Also, if any brand has a card that is a founders edition you can know that is safe to buy because a founders edition is an NVIDIA factory model with their companies box on it.

Honestly, not much of a difference on the 10 series cards at least on the stock BIOS. If you're just getting one 1080 then Asus Strix or Zotac Amp Extreme is good. The Gigabyte G1 Gaming is great too.

My build:

i7-6800k @ 4.32GHz

ASRock Fatal1ty X99 Professional Gaming i7

G.Skill Rampage V 4x8GB DDR4-2800MHz @ 2916MHz

Zotac 1070 AMP Extreme @ 2100MHz

Samsung 950 Pro 256GB M.2 NVME SSD

Samsung 850 Evo 1TB SSD

EVGA 750W 80+ Gold

NZXT Kraken X61 CPU Cooler

NZXT Hue+

Corsair 750D Airflow Edition
