So whenever I boot up my PC the temps are at 60C and they jump around nonstop. After a while they will settle back to the 28C idle it is usually at. I don't really know what is wrong and it is kind've concerning. My computer used to never do this.

I was thinking that it could be a virus, but my antivirus says that nothing is wrong. Also, I've been using RealTemp to get these temperatures, which I dont know if it is accurate or not.

Anyone have any advice?

Don't really know what to put here.

Did you dust/clean your PC? Doing that might only help a little, but if the CPU is at 60 degrees it's worth a try. Might just wanna download extra temp readers such as MSI Afterburner, CPUID HWMonitor, SpeedFan, etc. You can always uninstall them if you no longer need them.

What is your CPU usage? Is your GPU as hot as your CPU? And what is your CPU?

It's normal to have high CPU usage (therefore, temps) at startup, but 60c is bit high if it's a desktop.

My GPU is fine. I have an i7-4790k.

I'll have to check the usage next time I restart. Now the temps have gone down.

Don't really know what to put here.

I do that when I have time. It doesn't really look dusty inside though. I always put a dust cover on it when not in use.
