System won't boot

So my friend gave me his old system and it was working when we took it apart since he bought a new system.

My problem is that it isn't posting after powering on and I've went through the usual checks.

Current setup:

AMD Athlon II X2 270

Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3

16 gb ddr3 Hyper x genesis

Evga geforce gt 640 2gb

Cooler master 650W semi modular psu

 

Any suggestions ?

 

I'm getting a new system soon I just wanna set this up to let my mom watch movies on without me having to go buy a whole new system.
