Front IO dead?

I have build 2 PC's in the past 2 weeks. One had an NZXT H440 with a MSI Z170A Gaming M5, the other was an  S340 and a gaming M3 motherboard.

 

On both builds, on of the USB 3 ports at the front of the case doesn't work. The other one does. Did I do something wrong? It's defintley plugged in.

 

Odd glitch , any thoughts?

Did you "defintley" plug it in the correct header on your motherboard? Does the device you are using to check, really use this USB port? (I know USB 3 should support USB 2.0 devices, but you never know which retard made the device)

sometimes it unplugs at the io side, have you checked that? have had that too and scratched my head a good while over it before i released my cable management was too tight
