Hi, so I'm a complete noob at overclocking graphics card, and I soon want to have 2 1440p monitors, and I want to overclock my GTX 770 Gigabyte Windforce Edition with 2GB DDR5. I got MSI Afterburner, but I don't know what settings I should set it to. I tried playing around with the Core and Memory clock, but it crashed my the driver a few times so I got scared and set everything back to 0. I'm using Unigine Heaven Bechmark as well. Suggestions would be appreciated.

Maybe it will work if he never games, never watches HD vids, and only browses the internet...

EDIT: it's up to us to tell him how to OC. It's up to him to get disapointed in the results, and buy 2 titan XP's.

I mean There are a ton of guides on how to OC the 770 with MSI afterburner.

But really lets talk about the elephant in the room here. If you already have 2 1440p panels sell them and sell your gpu to get a 1060 and a 1080p panel instead. because the 770 cant handle a single 1440p panel without downscaling. If you have not gotten 2 1440p panels yet use that money to buy a 1060 or a 1070 because the cheapest 1440p panel I know goes for $200 and 2 of them is $400 which is enough for a 1060 and a 1080p panel or a 1070 with your current panel.

Sorry for the misunderstanding. No, I have not bought the monitors yet but I really want to. However, since it's apparent that my GTX 770 won't be able to handle it, overclocking it won't either? I've seen numerous sources saying it would work. I don't play any high demanding games either. I usually play League, Counterstrike, Heroes of the Storm, or Overwatch.

yeah it would work but they also say on very low settings and with downscaling, so really they dont :/ plus you will only get in the neighborhood of 10-20fps even if you OC. Plus you want another 1440p which the gpu has to render and extra 3,686,400 more pixels giving you a total of 7,372,800 pixels, when you have 2 monitors. And that is a lot for a 770, even for my 970 and a 980 really.
