Overclocking RX480?

I'm building my first PC and I've been having trouble deciding between the 8GB 480 or the 4GB 480. I have two questions. Do I need a Z MOBO to OC my GPU? And if I do OC my 480, does the remove the need for the 8GB version?

The motherboard chipset doesn't matter when it comes to overclocking your GPU.

Overclocking your GPU doesn't give you more VRAM, so no. If you ever run into a situation where 4GB isn't enough, overclocking won't do anything to alleviate that.

Sorry lol, I'm still new at this. I don't think I would run into that situation, but I might in the future. I'll just get the 8GB.
