Ok so I have an Asus X55LA Laptop PC World and Currys link here (http://www.pcworld.co.uk/gbuk/computing/laptops/laptops/asus-x555la-15-6-laptop-black-10135223-pdt.html)

And I need help to tell if it is able to be comparable with an egpu, as video games are getting harder to run and I need to step up my animation game up.

I know how to link it all up but I need to know if it will wine at me and not work as I have seen video's of people saying that it will not work on all laptops. Can anybody find out:

1) If the EGPU will work with the laptop

2) What EGPU I would have to get

3) What Price it all is.

Thank you!

aren't there egpu pci adapter kits?

EDIT: didn't click the link. I don't think you're gonna get an EGPU on that thing

Well you could plug it into the Mini PCIe port, but it's running at a paltry 2.0 x1.

Except you know, that requires some weird thing involving the computer being open or some hole being drilled in to get to the port. Oh, and you'd  have to ditch WiFi.

I think that would require OP to remove their optical drive

Optical drives use a slimline SATA port.

Either way, there's nothing the laptop supports that could take an external GPU setup. Even if there was something, an external GPU setup would cost as much, if not more, than the laptop itself.

Agreed, I think OP is better off getting a different machine
