Hello guys,

Yesterday my PC bluescreened saying "Attempted to write to a read only space" or something like that... today the same thing happened, but now my SSD is not recognized by the BIOS anymore and I cannot boot from it.

I also tried putting it in a external USB case and plugging it into my laptop... Windows doesn't recognize as if anything is connected...

Any ideas or suggestions?

The data on the SSD is very valuable to me, I don't care If I have to replace it. I just want my data.

Spend the money and engage a data recovery service.

Holly shit... I just unplugged my HDD and plugged the SSD there... it worked! OMG you have no idea how happy I am at the moment... Word of advice: ALWAYS backup daily... ALWAYS have your data on more then one device. My life just flashed infront of my eyes and this is not a joke! :D

That's great to hear! So it seems like the issue was the port itself? Maybe try plugging your HDD into that slot to confirm.

And yes, after my first HDD data scares, I've absolutely taken to backups and would recommend everyone to do the same!

I had a HHD fail on me exactly 30 days after I bought it, but because it was a new build (same machine, just 4-5 years ago), there were no losses.

I always preach to backup, but due to pure laziness, I don't ... I will take this as a sign from god/allah/universe/whoever ... :D

I even bought a 5TB external desktop drive for this purpose, but for some rason in Windows 10 it spins up for no reason a few second after it goes to sleep and its annoying to have a hdd make sounds right in front of your face...

As a Freelancer, which livelihood depends on this crap... i should be more careful.

Again, some advice... when it happens it will be too late and it will happen!
