I just built a PC and I initially had my windows 10 running on my 120GB SSD, and recently installed a 4tb hybrid drive. The reason why I want to start over is because even though I have it set through windows settings to only write on my hybrid, it still writes on my SSD and I'm nearly at 90% capacity. I am selecting where to download the files, but data such as steam games, iTunes media, etc. won't give me the option and automatically writes to my SSD. So my question is, how would I go about formatting and setting it up to where programs and media will ONLY write to my 4TB? Is it possible to have just my OS, Steam, iTunes on my SSD and have everything else such as the iTunes media, Steam games(not the app) and pics/vids/ programs etc save and run off my 4TB? I have the OEM disk for windows, but am not familiar with how I would go about reinstalling it with the same product key. I'd rather avoid the process of starting over, but just want to do the easy way to get my secondary files and programs thereafter running on the 4TB.

You can change the location of download folder in the settings of each program.
They write on C:\ by default.

I actually figured it out. didn't have to do anything crazy. I just had to delete all of the programs and re-install iTunes etc. everything is running off of my 4TB now. it just threw me off at first. thanks though bud.

Hi there :)

Another thing you could do is disable hibernation (thus remove the hiberfil.sys file) and reallocate the pagefile to the hybrid drive instead of having it on the SSD. This should enable you to free up some more space. :)
